Michigan natives, Kayla Borgen & Robert Lauer always dreamt of escaping to Oregon wine country to chase their dreams of making wine in the Pacific Northwest. One day, after quitting their day jobs & packing up a single U-Haul, they did just that! One cross-country drive and two houses later they found their dream home in Salem, Oregon.
The old Lindbeck farmhouse and fruit stand must have looked daunting to most passing through but something about the rich history & magic made the couple jump on the idea of revitalizing into a proper homestead & farmstand again.
Kayla is a brand designer by day with a love of art, cooking and decorating while Robert's passion lies in winegrowing & winemaking. Their mutual love of wine along with their combined skills and passions make for an effortless match in creating an inviting atmosphere for the community to feel welcome.
The farmstand, open spring through fall, offers free-range eggs from their backyard chickens, produce grown in their garden &, soon, honey from the hives in the vineyards where Robert tends to the vines. Their wine is a labor of love with minimalist methods and sustainable practices meant to be approachable & enjoyed by all.
